Saudi fintech Sarmad has unveiled thamar, a platform built to digitise how investors, asset managers and distributors work together. It replaces scattered tools with a single, end-to-end experience that supports the Financial Sector Development Program under Vision 2030.
Thamar digitises onboarding, transactions and servicing in one place. Investors use mobile-ready channels, while employees manage workflows through a unified portal. Pre-built integrations cover omnibus bank accounts, payment gateways and KYC providers, which helps firms reduce manual steps and move faster. The platform is cloud-native and modular, so organisations can start small then add features as they grow. It also serves as a system of record with a consolidated view of portfolios, transactions and documents.
The platform follows international best practice yet is tailored to local requirements. It aligns with Saudi regulatory frameworks and connects to government eKYC services, easing compliance and improving speed.
Ali Alomran, CEO and Founder of Sarmad, said: “KSA is becoming one of the world’s most dynamic investment hubs, and with thamar we are proud to equip local capital market institutions with world-class technology tailored for local markets, directly supporting the transformation goals of Vision 2030. thamar is the first platform of its kind in the Middle East. Built hand in hand with Saudi asset managers, it simplifies operations, strengthens compliance and opens new growth opportunities by connecting asset managers with investors and distributors.”
Asset managers often juggle legacy portals and point solutions with different logins and data formats. thamar consolidates that workflow, which can cut errors and costs. Investors benefit from clearer steps to start, fund and monitor investments.
Sarmad plans deeper integrations with distributors, robo-advisers, banks and government services, plus new features including generative AI tools. The company also aims to extend thamar across the GCC to build a regional distribution layer that connects investment products with a broader pool of investors and liquidity.
