Chime has announced a bold commitment to bring financial education to 10 million people across the United States over the next three years.
As financial education isn’t often a required course in most schools across America, many people are missing out on the critical building blocks for creating a stable financial future and don’t have resources readily at-hand for practical money advice. In fact, according to a recent study published by the National Financial Educators Council, the lack of financial education cost Americans more than US$388 billion in 2023.
Fuelling this commitment is a new financial progress hub in the Chime app, dynamic community education events, and expanded access to innovative and tailored financial literacy curriculum powered by Zogo.
“We know many people didn’t grow up learning about personal finance. We want to be a true partner on your financial journey. It’s never too late to learn about managing your money. We’re here to help,” said Kira Traore, Head of Corporate Social Impact at Chime.
